Benidorms is one of the cities that has the most tourism during peak seasons in the entire levante area of Spain. Whether it be in winter with organized tourism for senior citizens or in the summer when the older folks make room for younger tourism to enjoy the beaches and nightlife, Benidorm is always a great city no matter what time of the year. Benidorm is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Mediterrenean Coast. It is a municipality that every year millions of Europeans flock to for it´s beautiful weather. Great weather all year round, but also for it´s great beaches, the services offered to tourists, it´s beautiful natural environment etc...Benidorm also has many nearby localities that are just as enchanting such as Calpe, Santa Pola, Villajoyolla, El Campello and of course the famous Altea, one of the most beautiful fisherman towns in all of Spains, coastline. The beaches of the Costa Blanca (white coast) are of vital importance. Benidorm started to re-organize in the 60´s in order to make the best out of its resources...in other words it´s beaches. Terra Mitica the theme park in Benidorm is made up of 5 different fun areas with their own personality. They make up the present, past and the future of the mediterrenean cultures. The five areas are: Roma, the Islands, Greece, Iberia and Egypt.

On the other hand we must not forget to mention the park where you´ll find all types of exotic marine animals, dolphin shows, parrots, and sea otters. You´ll surely get to see beautiful animals in a recreated natural habitat.

The festivities in Benidorm are many, but the most important is the patron saint festivities. The patron saint celebration is in honor of the Virgen del Sufragio and Saint James Apostel. From the second sunday in November until the following Wednesday, the people here live 5 days of intense festive activity. The relive and act out the discovery of the Virgen and bring flowers in her honor. There is a humurous parade, as well as a float parade and the great castle with fireworks that takes place the last day of this festivity as a closure.
